When the going gets tough, you just gotta take a trench coat and turn it into a dress. Sounds odd, right? I know, but desperate times call for innovative measures!

Saturday was such a busy day, I went to work then rushed to a bridal shower right after! I can't remember the last time I had been to a bridal shower (or if I had ever been to one) before this one, but I know one thing was for sure: I had no clue on what to wear.

I wore a denim dress to work and threw some heeled BCBG boots in my car because I figured that would be a quick & easy fix to make my outfit more dressy, but I just couldn't see myself going to something so special in my boring work clothes!

Working in the mall is a blessing and a curse. A curse because it's SO easy to spend your whole check on clothes, but a blessing for situations like this one. After looking around in Urban Outfitters for about 20 minutes, I decided to get this trench that was on sale for $60.

When I saw it, I instantly knew that it would match with my boots, and I could totally see myself wearing it again. So I felt that my purchase was justifiable, lol.

After trying it on, I realized that the fabric was thin enough for the jacket to be worn as a dress, or even over the outfit that I was already wearing. All in all, I think I hit the jackpot. I was pleased with how the outfit turned out!
