Get Your Beautyrest!
A mattress is one of those things that most people take for granted. It’s like it falls under that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” rule. If you can still fall asleep and wake up on it, you’re good! Sure, you can’t always tell with the naked eye that something is wrong with your mattress, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not time to consider getting a new one.
I decided it was time to invest in a new mattress after that horrible experience I had in Southfield last summer. There was no way that mattress was coming into my new place, lol. Aside from all of that, though, I was constantly complaining about my neck and back hurting. I thought it was just because of the position that I sleep in (I tend to sleep on my stomach). I would try to force myself to sleep on my back, but even when I was able to, I was still waking up in discomfort. I assumed that my mattress was still in perfect shape after having it for over 10 years. Like I said earlier, it didn’t look like there was anything wrong with it, so I didn’t bother to think that that could’ve been part of the problem.
Art Van PureSleep
I told my parents I was ready to make yet another investment, lol. They had just recently gotten a new mattress from Art Van PureSleep so I wanted to get some feedback from them; they had pretty positive things to say! One weekend, my mom and I drove out to the PureSleep store in Novi so that I could take a look around. I was greeted by an associate named Clint that explained to me how the PureSleep process works.
First, I went over to a computer and filled out some basic information about myself, like what position I sleep in, if I sleep alone or with a partner, what side of the bed I sleep on, etc. Then, I went over to this simulator-type bed and laid flat on my back. While I was laying there, metrics were being recorded about about my body in relation to sleep. After about three minutes or so, I was prompted to change from laying on my back to my regular sleeping position. More metrics were recorded before I was instructed to sit up. The screen then showed what kind of mattress and pillows would be best for me based off of my sleeping habits. From there, I was able to look around the store with that information in mind.
I knew I wanted a mattress that was a good mix between firm and soft. I sat and laid on a few before coming across the Beautyrest Hybrid Kingery. Immediately, it was like I knew that it would be the one I was going to choose. It was so comfortable; the memory foam was supportive and conformed to my body, and Clint told me that this would be a good choice for me since I sleep on my stomach. He said the way the mattress is made would help to prevent my spine from curving upward too much, which was causing some of the back and shoulder pain I’d been experiencing in the past. He also suggested that I attempt to stop sleeping on my stomach altogether because apparently it’s the worst way to sleep. I couldn’t make him any promises, but I said I’d try my best to try sleeping on my side or back.
The price was a little bit higher than what I anticipated paying, but I told myself that this is a true investment and that good sleep is vital for my health. I felt like it was okay to splurge a little on this. Luckily, there was a promotion going on if you applied for one of the Art Van credit cards. I ended up paying about $2,200 for everything, and chose the 18-month payment plan to pay it off. I recommend getting the credit card if you’re able. It’s interest-free for 12 or 18 months (whichever you choose), and you can use it on future Art Van purchases.
Sweet Dreams!
I was so excited to sleep on my new Beautyrest mattress. That first night was AMAZING. I truly slept like a baby! I made a conscious effort to sleep on my back that night, and I woke up feeling so good and refreshed. No aches or pains!
The Beautyrest Hybrid Kingery is made of a combination of latex foam and individually pocketed micro-coils. The foam layers are infused with crushed diamonds and silver that help you to stay cool while you’re sleeping. Talk about living lavishly! Lol. The most important feature, at least to me, is that the mattress has the exclusive CorrectPosture support system that maximizes spinal alignment and minimizes pressure points.
I’ve been sleeping on my Beautyrest for about five months now, and I absolutely love it. I sleep more comfortably throughout the night, my body doesn’t ache or feel stiff like it did before, and it’s the hybrid feel is just right. I’m proud of myself for making the investment.
Why I Think You Should Invest
Sleeping is extremely important. I know that as millennials, we have a tendency to be on the move all the time, but we need to prioritize rest. Comfortable, healthy rest at that. I initially didn’t plan on buying a new mattress, but I’m glad I did. I enjoyed my experience at the PureSleep store; I found Clint to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about, and I didn’t feel pressured to buy something that was out of my budget. If you’re in the market for a new mattress, I highly recommend visiting a PureSleep store, at least to take the sleep test if nothing else. That will give you so much insight on what to look for when it’s time to buy.
As far as price, do what works for YOU. You do not have to go out and buy the most expensive thing you can find. Do your research, keep an eye out for deals, and if it’s in your best interest to finance it, do that! If you do end up splurging some, don’t feel bad about it. You’re literally going to be sleeping on this thing every single night, so you’ll get your money’s worth out of it.
As always, if you all have any questions, feel free to reach out to me and I’ll try to answer them as best as I can! I hope this post will serve as a resource for you in some way as you shop around for the perfect mattress. You deserve to get good sleep!
